How do I speed up my recording

Due to the amount of CPU and GPU power required to record gaming videos in real-time, you may experience slowdowns depending on your computer specs. However, there are several things you can try to prevent slowdowns:

  • Turn off any programs that are consuming system resources. (Spyware and viruses can consume resources without a user's knowledge, so it may be prudent to run a scan)
  • Use Web Mode instead of HD Mode for recording. This option is found on the settings dialog of the WeGame Client.
  • Turn off additional graphics settings. (Bloom, Anti-Aliasing, Anisotropic Filtering, Motion Blur, etc.)
  • Disable V-Sync in your game, otherwise you may encounter stuttering.
  • Lower the capture framerate in WeGame's setting dialog.
  • Lower your game resolution.

Finally, the WeGame client records best on systems with two or more processors. It may be in your best interest to upgrade your computer.

If this information didn't help you, return to the WeGame Client FAQ or contact Help.
